You know her name . . .

I cannot tell you how excited I am to finally reveal the name of the book about Anna Atticus Stone’s origin story. In Prodigy of Thunder (Chronicles of Anna Atticus Stone, book 1), I explore Anna’s tumultuous relationship with her family, a family slowly destroyed by an ancient secret. There will be adventure, exploration of the Academy of Arcane Arts’s Shoptown, and plenty of arcanery. Above all, you will get to know Anna.

And she is ambitious and brave and reckless and kind and empathic and brilliant.

I’m on schedule to launch early December. Further, I’d like to proudly announce I signed a three-book audiobook deal with Podium. The book is currently in the casting phase, and you will not have to wait long for it to launch (three months or so?).

Hope you’ve been well,

Sever
P.S. Anyone will be able to read this saga, even if they have not read The Arinthian Line or Fury of a Rising Dragon, making it safe to give as a holiday gift.

The Arinthian Line series (complete): Arcane Riven Valor Clash Legend The Fury of a Rising Dragon series (complete): Burden's Edge Honor's Price Mercy's Trial Champion's Wrath I grew up on Dragonlance and probably spent way too much time playing role-playing games. Then came the video games. But then, Nintendo was life in Toronto of '86. As a matter of fact, much of my youth could be considered "wasted" exploring escapism of one form or another. Now I'm a full-time author living in British Columbia, Canada. I have a wife who taught me what it means to love someone unconditionally. Buddha, my grumpy but rumpled-with-love cat, likes to keep watch from a Lego castle near my desk. (Update: said Lego castle has long been dismantled. Now she basks under a sun lamp). I suppose my favorite sagas are Harry Potter, Ender's Game, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, and Game of Thrones. I also love true-life survival tales like Into Thin Air, Shadowdivers, and Perfect Storm. As for movies, I regularly re-watch Bladerunner, Star Wars, Highlander, Aliens, Limitless, Edge of Tomorrow, Interstellar, Lost in Translation, and Margin Call. But I've been most inspired by Harry Potter. Seriously, because if it hadn't been for HP, I'd never have dared. I simply stood on the shoulders of a giant. Thank you for writing that story, Joanne Rowling, it was extremely re-readable. I can only hope to capture my readers' imagination as you have captured mine. When I was a kid, I dreamed I could spread my arms as wings, jump off the ground, and fly. My head was in the clouds (and in many ways, still is). It would be fair to say that my love of fantasy began then, steadily refined by movies, video games, and cozy books. As for me, I enjoy talking to my readers, so if you read one of my books, you're welcome to shoot me an email at severbronny@gmail.com. Throw me a question, comment, or just say hello. I blog at severbronny.com when the mood strikes me, and I'm on social media now and then. I don't publish too often, but you can subscribe to my newsletter to receive a notification when I do release new work (newsletter signup is at severbronny.com/contact). (I was also a musician at one time, having released three albums with my industrial-rock band Tribal Machine.) When all is said and done, I know how fortunate I am to be a full-time author. I think about it often--especially when I recall what it was like working the grind. Thus I humbly thank each and every reader for supporting my work.

  1. Super excited for this book. Love that we get a peek into the backstory of what made Anna into who she is today.

    1. I am ecstatic for you guys. Anna is a precocious and ambitious person who suffers greatly, but that suffering is what makes her who she eventually becomes. And this book is a good length, so I feel like you guys are going to get your money’s worth :)

        1. Or, it could mean that it will be a one-book type thing, and two books for the trio, or something like that. Probably not, though. Super excited for Mrs. Stone.

          1. This series will be told from Anna’s perspective, but I have great plans for the trio in the future. Some marvelous adventures lay in wait for them :)

  2. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! SO SO SO SUPER EXCITED! Anna literaly is my fvorite character, and it will be the firts book centerd around a specific girl charecter! EEEEEEEEEE!! SO HAPY!

      1. Yes, I’m excited for people to read from a girl’s perspective in my world. Anna was easy to write for me, as I learned from writing Bridget and Leera, and implemented those lessons. Anna is her own person though–far more ambitious, far more precocious. And yet she also suffers more than Bridget and Leera had, so prepare for that. And yet that suffering is what makes her into the person you know her as … a wise, humble old woman who does not show much emotion, and yet cares deeply for those she loves.

Not to mention a force to be reckoned with.

I suspect you’re going to enjoy Anna’s beginning, Moira. Hopefully everyone will!

  3. AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! ITS HERE (soon) I CANT WAIT THIS LOOKS LIT!!

    1. Thanks, Devon. I cannot wait either. You guys are in for a heck of a story, and I am ultra excited about this work, which I consider my best to this point.
