Something is coming. Something that sees everyone as prey. Officially announcing audiobook launch of Whispers of Wrath (Arcane Legacy, book 1)

I am thrilled to officially announce the release of the audiobook version of the trio’s latest epic adventure, Whispers of Wrath (Arcane Legacy, book 1), which you can find on Audible.

It’s narrated by Emily Waters who did an AMAZING job, especially with the spell and language pronunciation which is as close to my original intent as I’ve heard. Link comments.

Blurb:

Augum is one of three champion warlocks. Alongside his betrothed Leera and their sister-in-war Bridget, the trio protect their kingdom by wielding an ancient power. A power that devours their empathy.

A power that turns them into dragons.

As the trio struggle to hold onto their humanity, strange events unfold. Lightning strikes that silence nearby warlocks. Fog that nullifies arcane artifacts. Moss infestations that siphon sorcery.

Recognizing that these events could destroy their newfound ability, the trio set out to investigate. Their quest for answers will take them to the far north, the deep sea, and the bowels of an abandoned castle.

But what they uncover will plunge all the kingdoms into peril.

For something is coming.

Something that sees everyone as prey . . .

Enjoy the adventure, and please consider leaving a review on Audible when you’re done listening 🙂

Augum, Bridget and Leera news:

Three big pieces of news to share:

NEWS ITEM #1: I’m excited to announce the narrator for the imminently forthcoming audiobook Whispers of Wrath (Arcane Legacy, book 1), featuring our illustrious trio Augum, Bridget and Leera. The audiobook is expected to launch any day now (just waiting for final approval from the review process).

And without further ado, that narrator is . . . *drum roll* . . .  Emily Waters!

Emily is an actor and voice-over artist based out of London, England. Emily’s theatre work includes the Olivier award-winning show The Play That Goes Wrong, as well as Bleak Expectations, and Spy Movie: The Play. Previous narrative credits include The Actress series, by Kimberly J.M. Wilson, and Hunt the Night, by Jason Wright and Alan Gamboa. Emily also works as a motion-capture artist, and has recently wrapped on a major video game to be released in 2026. She is delighted to have worked on Whispers of Wrath, and has enjoyed every moment of bringing this book to listeners, and looks forward to capturing the essence of the whole series.

đź‘‚ Here’s a Google Drive link to an audio mp3 sample of the first chapter of Whispers of Wrath so that you can hear Emily at work! The audiobook will launch on Audible any day now, so keep your eyes peeled đź‘€.

NEWS ITEM #2: I recently finished the first draft of book two in the Arcane Legacy saga, and the book has now entered the editing stages! You guys are seriously going to love this book as the trio go on an epic sea adventure (it’s a book I’ve always wanted to write too)!

NEWS ITEM #3: You remember that contest I ran a few months back, the question being, “Who is your favorite character in any of my books and why?” Well here’s a picture of the winners (chosen at random) and their prize (Jay and Wesley, shared with permission):

Stay tuned as there’s loads more to come. All my best to you and those you love,

Preorder now live: Flames of Stone (Chronicles of Anna Atticus Sotne, book 3)

The audiobook for Flames of Stone (Chronicles of Anna Atticus Stone, book 3) is now available for preorder!

Some select reader reviews to entice the soul:

“For fans of the Arinthian Line and Fury of a Rising Dragon, the third installment of Chronicles of Anna Atticus Stone delivers on questions that have spanned across multiple series.”

“… the Chronicles of Anna Atticus Stone doesn’t feel like a prequel and can stand alone as someone’s first introduction to Sever Bronny’s work.”

“Wonderful continuation of the series that sets up Arcane while still leaving enough untold to allow Mrs. Stone to feel mysterious and private when introduced despite knowing so much of her life from this book. Finished reading it in three days because I couldn’t put it down”

“These books like the others are so incredibly well thought out to even the tiny details that pop up books later. I would really recommend any of the books by this author although I’d rather say read them all. Probably one of the most profound worlds I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading again and again.”

“A powerful conclusion to a series that reignites my love of learning”

“Strap in for an emotional ride”

“All i can say is that i am grateful to have read this masterpiece”

The launch is April 30th! You can snag Flames of Stone here.

Four pieces of exciting news

1. ILLUSTRATOR: I’ve hired an illustrator to start illustrating the trio/other characters for you, perhaps some scenes (if it works out, that is, and you guys enjoy his style). I asked the fan-run discord server to conduct a snap poll as to who you wanted done first, and the overwhelming consensus was . . . drum roll, please . . . Leera Jones! A great choice to start. So I’ve put together a dossier along with a smattering of quotes she said (which some of you kindly helped me collect), and will send it along to the illustrator today.

2. STORE COMING SOON: At long last, after years of questions as to when it will happen, my wife and I are putting together a small print-on-demand store. I’m hoping that these illustrations, along with others, will be put on some merchandise. Hopefully this merch will lead into some really cool and unique stuff that you guys have been asking for for years. More news on all that soon.

3. AUDIOBOOKS SALE: Two out of the four audiobooks for the Fury of a Rising Dragon series are half price for a limited time. You can snag Burden’s Edge here and Champion’s Wrath from the same site here.

4. CHRONICLES OF ANNA ATTICUS STONE, BOOK 3: Anna’s third book, which I will release the title of soon, is coming along swimmingly. Already 140,000 words in. It’s a family-oriented plot that steadily thickens, with one grand adventure in the latter third of the book. As usual when writing, my characters have taken me in a direction I did not anticipate. Anna is no exception, as she is strong and independent woman (she’s forty-nine years old in this book, just prior to taking on the headmistress job).

That’s all for now! Feel free to reply to this if you have any questions or comments :D
All my best to you and those you love, Sever,

Quick news on Anna Atticus Stone, etc

Things are progressing nicely with Anna Atticus Stone’s third book. Super exciting to write her during a critical period in her life, when she’s forty-nine years old, has just been offered the job of Headmistress of the Academy of Arcane Arts, juggles an unruly teenage daughter with little motivation and a big secret, a distant husband, and villains chasing after her scion—all while solving old mysteries that just might lead her to an ancient place. Book title announcement coming soon.

Once Anna’s third book is out, I plan on delving back into the trio: Augum, Bridget and Leera. I have grand (epic!) plans for their next escapade, and have missed writing them greatly. But in the meantime, writing Anna is a privilege, a challenge, and a true joy.

Some more book news: for those into audiobooks, Prodigy of Thunder (Anna’s first adventure) is on sale on Audible until Mar 16th.

Hope you have been well,

Sever
P.S. Advance Reader Team is open once again, with limited slots available.

Audiobook of “Prodigy of Thunder” Launches Today!

I’m excited to announce the audiobook launch of Prodigy of Thunder (Chronicles of Anna Atticus Stone, book 1)! It is incredibly well narrated by the accomplished Moira Quirk, who brought my work to life. I am very proud of how this turned out, and I think you guys are going to love it.

You can snag it exclusively from Audible here (it will launch wide on the other platforms in three months).

Arinthian Line news!

Hiyas!

How was your summer? Mine has been hectic, to say the least. But I’ll get to that in a moment. First off, I want to share some massive news that many of you have been hoping would happen for quite some time. At long last, the last two audiobooks in The Arinthian Line series are going to be published!

That’s right–Clash is launching on Christmas Eve, December 24th, and Legend is launching Mar 31st 2020! Which means you’ll finally be able to listen to the entire adventure straight through. In fact, you can pre-order the Clash audiobook now using this link.

I can’t thank you enough for your patience. Audiobooks are a massively labor-intensive and expensive process, so I am particularly grateful to Grammy winner Stefan Rudnicki for believing in the project and pushing to have it completed. Stefan has narrated some heavyweights, including Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game. Here’s what he had to say on the matter:

“It’s been my honor and pleasure to voice Sever Bronny’s first three Arinthian Line novels, and I’m thrilled that I’ll now be getting back into that magical world for another 45 or so hours of high adventure storytelling. Over these years, Augum, Bridget, Leera, and of course Anna Atticus Stone, have become some of my very favorite characters. I think of them as friends, and the thought of hanging with them some more feels more like a vacation than work.”
—Stefan Rudnicki, September 2019

This announcement is quite timely, for I’m celebrating a personal milestone–on this day, four years ago, I quit my day job to be a full-time author. It’s hard to describe what that means to me in a notoriously fickle industry. And another anniversary is coming up too: the 5-year launch anniversary of Arcane. I’ll be throwing a contest to celebrate that moment (late November), which will have its own email.

Other news:

Mercy’s Trial (Fury of a Rising Dragon, book 3) is on schedule for a December launch. Cover and blurb reveal coming soon. The book is massive–240,000 words–and is in the late editing stages. It was an incredibly complicated project that took a lot of energy to finish, but man was it rewarding (you guys are going to love where things have gone with the trio and their friends). But I’ll talk more about it in the coming reveal (wait till you see the cover!).

And thank you to everyone who voted for Arcane in the Epic Fantasy Fanatics contest! Arcane qualified for the next round thanks to your efforts. It’s now in the judging phase of the contest.

And yes, there will be a book 4 in the Fury of a Rising Dragon series.

All my best to you and those you love,

Sever
