Advance Reader Team

[Side note: a lot of readers have been asking how they can help spread the word. By far the most effective thing a reader can do to help is post on social media with a photo/image of Arcane, along with an honest but casual explanation of why they loved it. This sort of engagement has been found to be an incredibly powerful tool readers can utilize to help their favorite authors.]

ADVANCE READER TEAM

STATUS: CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICANTS

What’s an Advance Reader Team?

The Advance Reader Team is a select group of readers who have volunteered to read and review advance copies of my new releases. A few weeks before release day, publishers send Advance Review Copies (ARCs) to select readers in exchange for an honest review of the book on Amazon.com. These reviews are critical in helping launch the book off the ground.

Upsides of joining the team?

You get a free electronic copy of each new book.
You get to read it before anyone else.
You help other readers get a clearer sense of the new book.
You make a difference in one author’s life.

Downsides?

Since advance reviews are critical to the success of a newly launched book, the book needs to be read before the day of the release, and the review must be ready to be posted on Amazon.com on release day.

How do I apply?

1. Honestly review any of the following on Amazon: Arcane and/or Burden’s Edge. Bonus points if you also leave a review on Goodreads, and double bonus points if you leave more than one review on any of my other books on Amazon (Riven, Valor, Clash, Legend, Honor’s Price :)

2. Email me at severbronny@gmail.com inquiring if you can join my Advance Review Team. Please include a copy/screenshot of your Amazon review (or simply include a link to it). This is to ensure that you have an Amazon account in good standing and are able to leave a review.

3. Join my newsletter as this is how you’ll know of upcoming releases and ARCs.

I can’t express my gratitude enough to those that apply. Thank you so much :)

  1. Hi Mr. Sever, I just resent the email with my amazon review. Can I pls pls pls join your ART?

  2. Hi Mr. Sever, can you please let me into your advanced reader team? I love your stories, once I started the first book, I couldn’t put it down until I was done with both series! Best series I’ve ever read. Just waiting for the next book now =p

    1. PS: My name is John, though on amazon I’m using my mothers account so idk if that counts.

  3. Hope all is well Mr. Bronny. I’ve just been waiting and thinking about your next book and can’t wait to read it. While I’ve been waiting I have almost went thru Rick Riordan’s Trials of Apollo. His books are great and I’m a big fan of a lot of different stories and stuff. That being said I’ve honestly never read a story that fulfilled my love of fantasy and imagination like yours. You are truly a master at your craft and I feel privileged to have had the chance to read all your books. Everyone I’ve read fills me up fully , but also makes me hungry for more if that makes since. Looking forward to your future stories and wish you nothing but the best.

    Danny

  4. if anyone has any doubts about sever bronny being the best auther of all time…SHOVE IT! My favorite charactor is Leera cause of her wittinis and sarcasticness. I would also love if you made a story in bridgey-poo’s(Hehehe) or lee’s point of view.

    1. My two favorite characters are: Augum and Leera (No offense but Bridget is kind of…..boring, but she is still a VERY good character!) Anyways, I love Augum and Leera because theya re the racals of the group!

  5. good dont know if it should be lottery because what if someones right at the top of the waiting list but some other get chosen instead. But they should have a fair chance(Hmmmmm) well love your books sever!

  6. Hello, sir! It says at the bottom of this post that you are accepting new advanced readers. Is that true?

      1. Thank so much for the info! I have just submitted my “application”. Hope to hear back soon!! Can’t wait to see what you have cooking up!

  7. Oh my goodness I am such a huge fan of arinthian line and of the trilogy. My name’s Justin and I’m 33 and me and my wife are kind of nerds for books and this is hands down easily one of the best series we have ever read. I would love if you would think about adding me in the advanced reader team and just creating works of art in books
    Just a fan,
    Justin M.

    1. Hiyas, Justin! Would love to have you aboard. All you need do is fulfill the requirements at the top of this page and send me an email. Because the team is closed at this time, I’ll put on a waiting list, which shouldn’t take long :)

  8. I’m so happy you are able to find you calling and bring joy to others, it warms my heart. I would love to help on your advanced reader team and leave an amazing review for I know it will be deserved. I just finished you newest book Mercy’s Trails and I always try to guess what happens next, but fail for you are an exceptional writer. Let me know if I can help I love reading and everything to do with it. Thank you.

  9. I really hope I make it on your Advance Read Team, because I’m absolutely anxious to see all the new spells the trio learn (That is my literal favorite part of every book) and how they all grow up, and I don’t think I’ll make it to December without it.

  10. by the way are you ever going to do something with the monks and the other places like were Oba sasone (i forgot what its called )
    comes from ???

      1. Speaking of which do you ever plan to make any short stories about other countries or people that the trio made an impact on??? like Mrs stones friend (NOT one-eye (hes dead, obviously XD) the guy called like the ‘prankster of AoAA’
        (Academy of Arcane Arts)?

  11. I noticed that someone above mentioned Brandon Sanderson and I just wanted to put it out there that you, server, are competing against him as my most favorite author. thankyou for writing books I love em

    scincerely,
    Didi Desmond
Age 12 and 10/13 (just to be precise;-) )

      1. OH! that reminds me I forgot to mention Christopher Paolini (writer of Eragon as I’m sure u know) is one of my favorite authors too!

  12. Yo lo! I’ve read both The Arinthian Line and Fury of a Rising Dragon and I found them both to be wonderful reads. I was thrilled when I found out you were going to follow up The Arinthian Line with the new series (Fury of a Rising Dragon) and was thrilled yet again when I found out you would make a 3rd book to the “new” series. Anyways, I would be more than honored to be a part of the Advanced Readers club.

  13. Hi Sever. I actually haven’t come across your work before seeing Burden’s Edge on Amazon. I downloaded it from there and found I enjoyed it immensely. I realize it has a YA vibe, and I’m pushing 60, but honestly that doesn’t bother me at all. I also enjoyed Brandon Sanderson’s “Reckoners” series, and those are geared for YA. I notice volume 2, Honor’s Price, has been released, so I’ll be picking that up next. I’m tempted to sign up for your Advance Reader program, as I certainly don’t mind playing an active part with a series that I very much enjoy. I haven’t read your first series yet, so I imagine I should get around to that, as well. The big problem with me reading books I enjoy is I tend to not be able to put them down. I stayed up until 3 am this morning (damn you) with Burden’s Edge, and I had to work this morning.

I have no issues writing a review on Amazon.ca of Burden’s Edge. Honestly, I only found one typo, which is pretty good in a novel. I usually notice several! And I’d have no issues recommending your books to others, based solely on my experience with Burden’s Edge.

Will look forward to book 3 in December.

    Cheers,
    Bill

    1. I’m honored, Bill, and glad that you’re enjoying my work. Sorry that it’s keep you up late (well, sorry to a point, hehe!). Should you ever want to jump on board the team, please do email me as per above instructions :)

I look forward to hearing your thoughts regarding Honor’s price :)

  14. Hi Mr.Bronny,

I am a thirteen years old and love to read. I am a massive bookworm and have read both of your series multiple times. I would love to be part of your advanced readers team.

    Vasu Kedia

    1. Hello Vasu! Please read through and follow the instructions listed above then email me. And make sure to get your parents’ permission to be on the team.

Thank you, and glad you’re enjoying my work! :)

  15. These books are all such masterpieces. I cannot wait for more! I applied to be an advance reader. I’ve been waiting for Augum to summon a dragon since reading that the Orb of Orion could do so in myth. Also can’t wait to read more about Leyans and Ley. Such a unique world and complex set of characters.

  16. I love your books and I have read all of the hooks about Augum, but they are on my kindle under my Dad’s amazon account. Is that okay? Also thank you SOOOOOOOO much for not making Burden’s Edge not a short story. I love long books.

  17. I loved the whole series, I read the whole series in about a month, and just finished Burdens Edge. I am waiting anxiously for the next book. I too am one of your older readers but can see where younger readers would enjoy them as well. I am trying to get my grandchildren into them. Keep them coming! If you still seek advanced release readers I would really love the honor.

  18. These books are amazing if you can keep up what you are doing then you are an absolute legend. I just bought the book yesterday and I’m already finished because it was so good can’t wait for the next ones. Oh and also great plot twist with Brandon and Katrina Von Edgeworth

  19. I loved the first 5 books, Then the first in the new Trilogy. I only hope Anna Stone and the Scion are due to make a return to shake up his new enemies. Honestly, when he was whipped in front of his Grandmothers statue, I fully expected that Anna would make an appearance from Let, to once again outlaw whipping students. Im on Netgalley, GoodReads and Kindle Unlimited, I hope I can be considered for the advance reading! Im on edge waiting

  20. Hi mr.sever I first got “arcane” on my kindle when I searched for young adults books on the store ……..I found really interesting and I was so obsessed with the book I wouldn’t listen to what anybody said and they had to wake me up from reading ….. I completed the arinthian line series in three weeks since I had my exams ……I completed burden’s edge in a day , I even taken notes on your books like no. of least pages and highest no. of pages
