When a cunning enemy enslaves the kingdom, a famed warlock-knight must survive a gauntlet of perils to save his people.

Augum Stone is only sixteen and already a legend. He heard his name chanted in the arena by tens of thousands. He vanquished a notorious tyrant and ended a war. And he revived a warlock-knight order that lay dormant for generations.

But these feats came with a price—he needs combat to feel alive, to test his limits.

As Augum struggles with restraint, a callous enemy kingdom enslaves his people. And that enemy wants more than mere control—they’re searching for an ancient weapon with which to conquer Sithesia.

Now, with the future of all the kingdoms at stake, Augum and his friends must cobble together lost historical clues to find the weapon before the enemy does. Standing in the way is a manipulative prince, a traitorous nobility, a vengeful

rival . . . and Augum’s own reckless nature.

This launch marks three years of full-time writing. Three years. In total, I published seven books, stacking up to 1.24 millions words. I am grateful to you, dear reader. And I am grateful to my amazing wife, who believed in my writing when she could have easily told me, after I had already failed in making a living in my music career, that I should be more practical. Yet she pushed me to see where it goes, knowing I was having a blast writing.

And I’m still having a blast writing (thank you, my love!).

Many of you have written me wonderful heartfelt letters expressing your love for the trio’s journey. You have motivated me to give it my all with this work, which has been a year in the making. It’s a big book—230,000 words / 634 paperback pages, almost as long as Legend. In this new chapter in their lives, our illustrious trio find themselves embroiled in a new adventure—one of courage, determination, and especially, growth.

Thank you for supporting my work—it means more than you know :)

Now on the book. The kindle version can be purchased from Amazon HERE. The paperback version can be found HERE.

Enjoy the adventure, and I’d love to hear your thoughts when you’re done reading.

All my best to you and those you love,

—Sever

The Arinthian Line series (complete): Arcane Riven Valor Clash Legend The Fury of a Rising Dragon series (complete): Burden's Edge Honor's Price Mercy's Trial Champion's Wrath I grew up on Dragonlance and probably spent way too much time playing role-playing games. Then came the video games. But then, Nintendo was life in Toronto of '86. As a matter of fact, much of my youth could be considered "wasted" exploring escapism of one form or another. Now I'm a full-time author living in British Columbia, Canada. I have a wife who taught me what it means to love someone unconditionally. Buddha, my grumpy but rumpled-with-love cat, likes to keep watch from a Lego castle near my desk. (Update: said Lego castle has long been dismantled. Now she basks under a sun lamp). I suppose my favorite sagas are Harry Potter, Ender's Game, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, and Game of Thrones. I also love true-life survival tales like Into Thin Air, Shadowdivers, and Perfect Storm. As for movies, I regularly re-watch Bladerunner, Star Wars, Highlander, Aliens, Limitless, Edge of Tomorrow, Interstellar, Lost in Translation, and Margin Call. But I've been most inspired by Harry Potter. Seriously, because if it hadn't been for HP, I'd never have dared. I simply stood on the shoulders of a giant. Thank you for writing that story, Joanne Rowling, it was extremely re-readable. I can only hope to capture my readers' imagination as you have captured mine. When I was a kid, I dreamed I could spread my arms as wings, jump off the ground, and fly. My head was in the clouds (and in many ways, still is). It would be fair to say that my love of fantasy began then, steadily refined by movies, video games, and cozy books. As for me, I enjoy talking to my readers, so if you read one of my books, you're welcome to shoot me an email at severbronny@gmail.com. Throw me a question, comment, or just say hello. I blog at severbronny.com when the mood strikes me, and I'm on social media now and then. I don't publish too often, but you can subscribe to my newsletter to receive a notification when I do release new work (newsletter signup is at severbronny.com/contact). (I was also a musician at one time, having released three albums with my industrial-rock band Tribal Machine.) When all is said and done, I know how fortunate I am to be a full-time author. I think about it often--especially when I recall what it was like working the grind. Thus I humbly thank each and every reader for supporting my work.

  1. You may have answered this before, but who it your favorite character to write? Also OMG 100 comments!

    1. Good question. Other than Augum, Bridget and Leera are a tie, depending on the situation. Beyond the trio though, I’d have to say Jez when she gets wound up. I also love writing Panjita Singh (the crotchety mother of Jengo’s betrothed).

I’m curious why this particular post has so many comments. Maybe I should start a “generic discussion” tab on the site or something…

  2. Why did you nerf Brandon’s character and please tell me that he will be more important… (Pls don’t kill him, he is my favorite non trio character)
    :D

    1. Brandon was a catalyst for a drama, but also something just felt off with him and Bridget, so I played along and expressed drama through him. He does have a part to play in book 3 though, but I won’t spoil it for you (it’s nothing bad!).

      1. I think it’s really interesting to follow the mind battles between Katrina and Augum. I like the subtlety of these little mind games as a nice contrast to the big and epic arcane battles.

      2. I get some mail from fans who loathe her–in a good way. They cannot wait to see her get her comeuppance. But I have to admit, she is fun to write.

  3. Where do the names of the spells come from and where do the phrasing names come from? Also how do you pronounce Apreyo and Shyneo

      1. Apreyo is pronounced: ah-Pray-oh

Shyneo is a tough one to pronounce (on purpose), and is actually said in the Polish way: Szyneo, wherein the sh is pronounced like a sz. The best way to pronounce it accurately is to have google translator pronounce the word “szyneo” when set to the Polish setting:

        https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=translate

The names themselves are mostly a mix of Latin, English, and Japanese, with hints of Italian and Portuguese. The spells are “tested” in-text for a time (and by me pacing and saying them aloud) until I feel comfortable with them, and still think they’re cool.

        :)

      1. Yes, exactly. I am looking forward to exploring what happens with themes like this in the future as the trio get older. I’ve got some wonderful non-saving-the-world ideas that I thinks the fans are going to absolutely love.

  4. Ok… I have some questions…

First off what was the reason you killed off Issac and Caireen, they were so great… :( (I know they probably have no more importance but I don’t want to believe that) :( RIP

You also said that Aug would get a nickname in the third book and i just finished it, and I couldn’t find it

I also am wondering if the trio plus or minus all the people going with the trio to the seers in the next book will meet any of the ice wolven guys like Raptos

Do you have any favorite characters?

    1. Sorry, I should have been clearer: Augum gets a nickname in the third book of the Fury of a Rising Dragon series, which has not been released yet (which I am writing still).

Isaac and Caireen served as an echo of Romeo and Juliet, the pair of lovers who were not meant to be. Their tragedy thus increased the precious nature of those around them who still had relationships. I only regret that i did not have more time in-book to flesh them out together.

As for wolven, they will not be in this series, as I am saving them for a future series .

Other than the trio, I do not have any favorite characters, no, as I enjoy parts of all of them. I do enjoy writing about certain characters more in certain times, however, but it all depends on the situation, for some characters are more fun at times and less so at others. It’s different for me, I suppose, because I write them. Although Jez, when she gets rolling on her rants, is particularly fun to write :)

    2. I am also assuming that Katrina is super fun to write about, I would have so much fun writing as Katrina, It would be so fun and evil… as much as I hate Katrina, she’s such a good character.

      1. Oh and I was surprised you killed off Cai and Issac, because they just started to get involved and in a suitable relationship, and because Brandon was kicked from their friend group Issac was the only guy that was good friends with Augum (Besides Jengo, but he is in a different degree) I’m also surprised that Jengo caught up to Haylee’s degree even though he was behind in his studies to start…

      2. Jengo is pretty smart, I mean he is in the healing element after all. Personally I think I would enjoy the water element the most though.

      3. Yeah I have thought about the water element, but I suck at swimming, I’d just need a friend that has a water element, I would like Lightning personally, not just cause Aug has it, but because Ice is literally solid water, air is kinda lame (I feel like the air element should be able to make like gassed lead or Carbon Monoxide which are deadly poisons), also the earth is ok, fire is good, and in healing i would not want to have because you can’t use offensive spells or something like that. And also yes Jengo is smart but he has a harder element so it would take him longer to learn all the extra healing spells…

      4. Yeah, I think the most fun elements would be water and fire. Lightning has been shown to be dangerous, and I do not like to take risks. Earth seems kind of boring to me along with ice and air, and I wouldn’t like healing because I would like the offensive spells more.

  5. So I was reading the section after the end of Clash and it said that Caireen’s (RIP) name was an anagram, and I have tried really hard to find the answer to that anagram but I just haven’t been able to. Any chance you can tell me what that anagram was?

    1. How about I give you a hint? The anagram that is CAIREEN LAVO is three words in total. The title of one of the books is one of those words. The leftover letters make up the two remaining words. See if that helps :)

  6. Are you ever going to release a full map of the whole continent, with every country? I really love maps and I would love to see a complete one

  7. I was wondering If you will have anything on the Titan clan in future books (Augums mothers clan). And what was the debt that the Pendersons owed the clan

Im also wondering about if you could be so generous and give a hint on the new book… I love them so much, im reading all of them again, I own all your books thanks!!!

    1. Yes, there are tentative plans to involve Augum’s mother’s side of things in a future series, and I have some wonderful ideas there that I very much look forward to exploring. In fact I am very excited about the next series and what it entails, but I can’t reveal anything until this series is done.

As to the new book, I’ll hint at it in my next email to the readers, which is due very soon :)

And I’m glad you’re enjoying my work, Sasa. Any favorite characters and scenes that you love reading about / again and again?

      1. Yes i love the trio and brandon, i was so sad when Brandon went to Katrina’s side, I was desperately hoping Bridge and Brandon could get back together, but right now Olaf and Bridge are solid, so RIP Brandon… i also like the scene where augum saves Leera in Bahbell, the battle of hangmans rock, when augum bested Katrina… countless more

      2. Oh i forgot to enter my name in that, oops thats me though the anonymous,
I also have to say i love ur books so much i read half of Valor in 2 days, I have already read 20% today just because i have no school, also the way i found this book is, i got it for my brother for his birthday, and he didnt want it and gave it too me and i love it so… thank u so much for writing these. :)

      3. Oh and 2 more things, what is Leera and Augums ship name? And what days do you write and when you don’t write what do authors do, cuz idk what their outside life is, XD

      4. Good scene choices!

And that’s too bad for your brother, but a boon for you! :D

I am not sure what you mean by Leera and Augum’s “ship” name. Was that an auto correction mistake?

As to your last question, I write Mondays through to Fridays, aiming for 2000 words a day minimum, though often going well beyond. On the weekends I enjoy reading, spending time with my wife and friends, journeying about, playing video games like Breath of the Wild, and watching movies.

      5. Ok… a shipname wasn’t an auto correct, its a thing teens do… where they have a couples name, or have 2 people that would look “Cute” or “Well” together where they would combine the two names of the two people… for example… Theirname could bee Leerum, but its kinda sketchy… :D

      6. Okay, that’s kind of hilarious. he thing that started with celebrities; I get it. Leerum? Augeera? Ha! Well I learned something today.

Augum DID earn a nickname in book three, though (you’ll see the pun later).

      7. It would be great if you used the “Ship name” then i could be like ” ayyy that was my idea” and i’d be proud. Lol

    2. How/ Where do you get all these wonderful book ideas. I tried to write my own story, but i disliked it lacking of ideas and scratched it, I don’t even know where you get these ideas… :)

      1. Which of all the books that you’ve wrote do you like the best, and I love the romance concepts of your books, it’s not too little and not too much, I think it’s just right, also will there be anything with the wolves from the north… the ice wolves like raptos?

How did you write Honors Price in three months? Because Burdens Edge came out in June and Honors Price came out in September, also where do you get the inspirations for the covers, I know this is a ton of questions, so if you’re mad… sorry :D.

      2. No trouble at all, and good questions! Here are my replies:

My ideas come from the arcane ether =P

I jest, I jest. I usually only ask myself simple questions like, “What would be the coollest thing to happen next?” and go from there. In the end, I write what I want to read.

I don’t have any one favorite book at this time because each had its many challenges, and it’s overcoming those challenges that define the book for me.

Also, incidentally, a first draft is always terrible, and the challenge then is trusting that your future self will tackle all the outsanding issues.

I began Honor’s Price while Burden’s Edge was being edited, so well before launch time.

    1. Hiyas Kai, not at this time, but I’m considering the idea of doing a convention somewhere in the U.S. that is accessible to readers. Perhaps next year? We’ll see.

  8. I have two questions…
    1. Will you have more books about Augum, Leera, and Bridget after your Fury of a Rising Dragon series?
    2. And do you have your music on Spotify? i want to know what it sounds like…
    Thanks :)

  9. Glad to hear Augum is going to still be the central protagonist for some time. I am that anonymous that posted on Nov 30 i cant wait for the next one and see how the story goes .

  10. Do you have any recommendations on any series I could read while I wait for the third book? I can’t wait for it to come out. 🤣😋😋

      1. I have read all those except the Benjamin Ashwood series and Eragon. I didn’t know you knew about the Royal Institute of Magic. I used to love that series lol. I will look at those thx. 😃

      2. He passed away!!! Oh wow that’s so sad. How did I not know. I stopped reading the books a long while ago but I still loved them. I can’t realize how I didn’t realize. 🤦😥☹️😭😭

  11. Very good series over all I have been reading some of the fan mail and saw this one person with a bunch of predictions he made that will possibly come in the series . That is a good sign that you are overall forming the books well, in my opinion, having a reader think about the story and what might come means you wrote these books well . I have read all of the books and one piece of advice is if you do think about changing the P.O.V dont choose to many or it could get confusing . My go to number is around 3 and if you do choose to change P.O.V dont leave Augum’s completely especially if you have built a big connection with him and most of the readers of these two series . And I love the way the new series is going to and it would be cool if you could punch out at least two more books . And I know that you mentioned that you have to wright at the trio’s pace which makes since. I just feal like there is so much more to the story and hope you can end the series of knowing you are happy at how far you carried them . Once again huge fan of your writing and am happy to have found your series through the author of Benjamin Ashwood series, which is a very similar series in a way of a person that doesn’t know Arcanery . Love both of ya’lls work and wish you the best of luck on the next books !

    Sincerely a fan and supporter

    1. Aww thank you so much. I’m grateful to have such lovely, kind and supportive readers. Means a lot.

And I’m glad you’re enjoying my work. Lots more to come. And don’t worry, Augum will be the central protagonist for some time still :)

I’ll post this in the reader mail section too :)

  12. So… when’s the next when coming out. :D jk take your time. This book was AMAZING. Set the next one up perfectly

  13. I love your writing and I wish the next book could come out sooner. It is so hard to wait. I don’t know any other good series like this because yours are by far the best I have ever read. I hope when this trilogy is over you keep writing about the trio. These books have gotten me through a lot of bad times. #1 books! Never stop writing!!!

  14. Do you have any fan art of Auguam, Leera, or Brigdet. I want to see what people or you think they look like.

      1. Yes! I wouldn’t participate because I can’t draw or digitally make art at all but I would love to see other people’s art.

    1. And which book did Aguam and Leera get together. It has been so long since I’ve read the books, sorry.

      1. Leera’s womanhood ceremony is not covered in any of the books, and Augum and Leera’s relationship really starts to get going in Valor (The Arinthian Line, book 3).

      2. Oh, what book is Augum’s manhood caramony in? I swear I remember reading it. I looked through book 4 and 5 and didn’t find it.

  15. Who designs your covers? I really like the style and wonder if they make other art. P.S. Are there any arinthian line shirts, or other clothes?

    1. Deranged Doctor Designs designed the cover for the Fury of A Rising Dragon series, and I designed The Arinthian Line covers myself. As to T-shirts, that’s something I’ve been mulling for a while, but until there is a demand, I will likely wait on.

  16. I’m the anonymous that asked about the Aguam and Leera cheating question and yes I’m pretty sure it was that one. I’m going back in the Arinthian Line series and reading my favorite ones and I remember liking that one, thx!

  17. I just finished and it was a very very very very good book. I agree with the other anonymous about the romance and in my opinion there should be more between Aguam and Leera. In my opinion the romance is sweet and it makes Aguam and Leera closer and I don’t understand how people would hate it. Ivery do hope you continue making books (about the trip) after this trilogy is over. I would be very sad if you do stop but if you feel like stopping then do. This is one of my favorite books and the end is nice. It wasn’t as big as a cliff hanger as Burdens Egde. You are my #1 author. 😃😃☺️☺️😀😀😀

P.S. when is the next book supposed to come out?

      1. Aww, what is the book where Leera thinks Aguam is cheating on her? I think it’s Riven or I’m just crazy and that wasn’t in any of the books.
