News about book 5

I’m super excited to report that the first draft of LEGEND (The Arinthian Line, book 5) has been completed this morning. It clocks in around 234,000 words (about 15% longer than CLASH).

The next stage is editing, followed by prep and launch. If all goes well, you should have the final installment in The Arinthian Line by Christmas.

It’s been an emotional ride with this book. Years of work came to a head, and somehow, it all resolved in a way that made me feel personally content as someone living in that world five days a week (could you imagine?). Yet in many ways I feel like one of the luckiest people alive; I get to adventure alongside Augum, Bridget and Leera for a living.

If you want to receive an email notice when LEGEND launches, simply click here. I don’t email often, as my subscribers can attest. I’ll still keep you posted though.

Email / msg me anytime, I love hearing from readers. All my best,

Sever

The Arinthian Line series (complete): Arcane Riven Valor Clash Legend The Fury of a Rising Dragon series (complete): Burden's Edge Honor's Price Mercy's Trial Champion's Wrath I grew up on Dragonlance and probably spent way too much time playing role-playing games. Then came the video games. But then, Nintendo was life in Toronto of '86. As a matter of fact, much of my youth could be considered "wasted" exploring escapism of one form or another. Now I'm a full-time author living in British Columbia, Canada. I have a wife who taught me what it means to love someone unconditionally. Buddha, my grumpy but rumpled-with-love cat, likes to keep watch from a Lego castle near my desk. (Update: said Lego castle has long been dismantled. Now she basks under a sun lamp). I suppose my favorite sagas are Harry Potter, Ender's Game, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, and Game of Thrones. I also love true-life survival tales like Into Thin Air, Shadowdivers, and Perfect Storm. As for movies, I regularly re-watch Bladerunner, Star Wars, Highlander, Aliens, Limitless, Edge of Tomorrow, Interstellar, Lost in Translation, and Margin Call. But I've been most inspired by Harry Potter. Seriously, because if it hadn't been for HP, I'd never have dared. I simply stood on the shoulders of a giant. Thank you for writing that story, Joanne Rowling, it was extremely re-readable. I can only hope to capture my readers' imagination as you have captured mine. When I was a kid, I dreamed I could spread my arms as wings, jump off the ground, and fly. My head was in the clouds (and in many ways, still is). It would be fair to say that my love of fantasy began then, steadily refined by movies, video games, and cozy books. As for me, I enjoy talking to my readers, so if you read one of my books, you're welcome to shoot me an email at severbronny@gmail.com. Throw me a question, comment, or just say hello. I blog at severbronny.com when the mood strikes me, and I'm on social media now and then. I don't publish too often, but you can subscribe to my newsletter to receive a notification when I do release new work (newsletter signup is at severbronny.com/contact). (I was also a musician at one time, having released three albums with my industrial-rock band Tribal Machine.) When all is said and done, I know how fortunate I am to be a full-time author. I think about it often--especially when I recall what it was like working the grind. Thus I humbly thank each and every reader for supporting my work.

  1. I can’t wait for the next book. This is one of my fav series EVER!! So well done, I’m almost scared to read the 5th book. I don’t want it to end!

Thank you so much for this journey Sever! I read a book a day and of all the series I’ve read this year this is my favorite.

  2. With Grimdark all the rage, it’s good to see books like this resonate. It’s even better when such a decent human being (Sever) has people appreciate his excellent work. Early on in the series a character took some pretty dark actions. I sent Sever an email noting that while this character was doing these awful, adult things – the story was treating like a misbehaving child. I only relate this story because instead of that email being met with arrogance or defensiveness, it was the start of a good conversation. There is a love for this story that is obvious.

    Sever-
Looksing forward to book 5 and whatever comes next!

  3. I can’t wait for this book coming out I think I’ve read the other four twice while I’ve been waiting on book five and the wait is almost over thank you so much for these books I really did enjoy reading them and I can’t wait to see how it all ends

    1. Thank you so much for your patience, and I am happy that you enjoy the series so much. I have a heck of an ending awaiting you. I cannot wait for you to read it. Not long to wait at all now! :D

  4. Your writing takes me into your world so easily by painting pictures or like actually viewing a movie in my mind! I can not thank you enough for writing this series. So many characters makes it hard to choose a favorite. You succeeded in fleshing all of them out not only physically but also emotionally and mentally to boot. I was thrilled to hear the news of the 5th book and final book will be here by Christmas. I was glad to read that you tied up the storyline in a good way. The characters become real and we need to know their final path whether sad , happy or indifferent! Can’t wait!

  5. I’m really excited for this book as it draws a close to a fantastic series than I feel regardless how many times I read it the book is as good as it was when I first read it. Thank you Sever for working so hard on getting these books done fast and well and I can’t wait to get my hands on this book!

    1. Thank you, Jony, that means a lot :) It’s been a very log and arduous process that has challenged me on every level. I very much look forward to giving you that epic conclusion … and then writing trilogies in the same world and characters :)
